What is Electrolysis?

Electrolysis is the only hair removal method approved by the FDA for permanent hair removal. A qualified professional called an electrologist slides a thin, metallic filament into the opening of each hair follicle with unwanted hair. A very small current is applied which causes localized damage to the areas that generate hairs, either through the formation of caustic substance (the galvanic method), overheating (thermolysis), or both (the blend method). With each treatment, the cells that grow a hair is damaged.

Course Description

This electrolysis program consists of theoretical and practical instruction covering electrolysis and additional forms of hair removal. Students that are accepted into the program will receive training by practicing electrologists. During the practical portion, the students will be trained using modern, up-to-date equipment from qulified instructors in small class settings allowing for greater one-on-one training. Thus, allowing students to excel and go on to become one of the top electrologists in the field.
